This is where the employer can have the biggest impact on their workers compensation costs. Returning the employee to a productive environment as quickly as possible prevents the employee from entering the disability syndrome, increasing duration of lost time and medical costs. Additionally, the employer saves by reducing temporary staffing, productivity losses, and training.
The I-Med Strategic Coordination of Care system makes sure the employee gets the appropriate care and gets back to work as soon as reasonable. Our team works closely with the primary care physicians to direct the employees return to work. Our staff is creative in finding modified duties even if the employer is unable. This has even included use of community service programs.
Strategic Coordination of Care
I-Med takes a strategic approach to management of an injury. Step by step, we make sure appropriate care is maximized and inappropriate care is eliminated. Our goal is to make sure the employee receives the care needed in the appropriate setting.
We will continue to manage the employees case until both full duty release and the cessation of medical treatments occur. This prevents a costly injury reoccurrence from being undetected. The I-Med Strategic Coordination of Care system is designed with a multitude of feedback loops to work as a check and balance system, always maximizing medical management efficiency.

The system is fully automated with on-line access to disability guidelines and treatment protocols, state rules, and provider networks. Injuries are classified by body part, nature and cause, as well as by ICD-9 codes.
Extensive client profiling allows reports customized to include indexing of injuries by division, location and department, or the profiling can be defined to fit your specific needs. Savings reports can be generated to sort and stratify information such as injury type, diagnosis, occupation or location. Electronic data interface capabilities allow client remote access to case notes and medical information.
Your I-Med Team
As a client of Indemni-Med you will have a Strategic Coordinated Care team specifically designed for you. This team will consist of Registered Nurse Case Manager(s), Client Liaison(s), Coordinated Care Representatives, and Data Administrator(s).
Your I-Med team will consist of knowledgeable professionals to strategically manage all medical aspects of claims. We know from experience this will decrease loss ratios, increase your adjusters productivity, improve closure rates and reduce your claim costs.
All our nurses have occupational medicine and/or case management expertise and will oversee all activities. Your Client Liaison will work to identify modified duties for returning employees, will assist in selection of physician panels and will manage education programs as needed. Our Coordinated Care Representatives are experienced medical assistants working within critical pathways to support the nurse case manager(s). Data Administrators report and analyze case information providing results oriented feedback to the Strategic Coordination of Care team and you. At I-Med, we all work together with you to change the trend of workers compensation losses.
